The final showdown of the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship will make its highly anticipated return to Edmonton this March 09 - 10.

Ice Cross Downhill has had a long-standing relationship with the city of Edmonton. From Qualifier events held at local ice rinks in earlier seasons through to its first-ever season finale race hosted in 2015. which brought out 70,000 roaring fans, the largest crowd ever to attend a single-day public sporting event in downtown Edmonton.

2018's Edmonton track will aim to up the level from its first edition, and all track details will be released later this season. The city's 2015 track stretched an enormous 415-metres long, and was chock-full of features including a 45 metre vertical drop. One of the most unique tracks in the sport's history, it took almost a full month to build, and swerved through Edmonton's downtown core down to the banks of the frozen North Saskatchewan River.

Here's everything you need to know about the Red Bull Crashed Ice in Edmonton, Alberta on March 9-10, 2018. This page will be updated throughout the season with additional information about enjoying the event and watching from home.

WHAT IS THE EVENT SCHEDULE?
2018's Red Bull Crashed Ice 2018 event in Edmonton will feature two separate days of activity. Friday, March 9 will feature the Junior Championship and Freestyle. Saturday, March 10 will feature the Ice Cross Downhill World Championship season finale.

Gates will open to the public at 4pm MST on both dates. Friday's event will end around 9pm MST and Saturday's event will end around 10pm MST, pending schedule changes. Red Bull Crashed Ice will release a more detailed schedule early 2018.

WHERE IS THE EVENT?
Edmonton's 2018 Red Bull Crashed Ice event site and track will feature a brand new design, features and a new start location on Jasper Ave. The track will swerve down towards the Louise McKinney Riverfront Park, and official track maps and spectator zones will be released in early 2018.

DO I NEED TO BUY TICKETS?
Yes - 2018's Red Bull Crashed Ice event in Edmonton will be ticketed. Friday's Juniors and Freestyle World Championship tickets will be priced at $5 (including taxes and fees) and Saturday's Ice Cross Downhill World Championship season finale will be priced at $8 (including taxes and fees).

Tickets to Red Bull Crashed Ice will be on sale through Ticketmaster, which can be accessed from www.redbullcrashedice.com. Ticketmaster members will have access to tickets through an exclusive 24 hour pre-sale November 15 at 12pm- 12pm MST on November 16. Tickets will be open to the public for the remainder of the season on November 16, 2017 at 12:01pm MST.

WHY IS THE EVENT TICKETED THIS YEAR?
Edmonton's Red Bull Crashed Ice event will be ticketed in 2018 in order to up-level both the on-site experience for fans and also audience safety and security throughout event weekend.

There will also be an Activation Zone immediately outside of the Red Bull Crashed Ice ticketed area for all to enjoy.

In order to accommodate all attendees, various package options will be available:

Friday General Admission*: $5
Saturday General Admission*: $8
Weekend General Admission*: $10

*General Admission (GA) refers to standing areas that are not assigned or reserved and are occupied on a first-come first-served basis. Seating arrangements vary for each event and there may or may not be seats of any kind available.
All ticket prices are inclusive of 5% GST and admin fees.

Red Bull Crashed Ice Edmonton will have multiple General Admission viewing areas, access of which will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be required to enter the event site on both Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR BEVERAGES?
No outside food or beverages will be allowed on the event grounds. There will be a range of food and beverages to offer in specific zones of the event. Site maps with food station locations will be released early 2018.
