Robert Grochowicz

Robert Grochowicz, aka "Mango", is known in Ice Cross Downhill as the Polish Monster or the Ice Boar. He comes from Opole, Poland, and his mother is a figure skating coach, and his father is an ice hockey coach. That's why he took his first steps on ice when he was barely 1 year of age. His adventure with ice hockey started when he was 14 years old, and three years later he was already a member of the U18 National Team.

Robert's achievements speak for themselves: he won the Polish Championship in Ice Hockey while playing for his first league home team called Orlik Opole, he's a 2-time Champion of Ireland and 1-time vice-champion, and also 1-time most dedicated player of the season in Ireland. Along with his team "Marsjanie Opole" thet held the In-Line Hockey Polish Championship 9 times (he became the Top Scorer League Player twice). Robert is a construction technician by training, and is running a construction company. He has a lifeguard certification, and a scuba diver certification, and is also a sales representative and a sales distributor of the SLEDDOGS equipment across Poland.

Robert has a positive attitude to life and he trains very hard in order to achieve the best possible results in the Red Bull Crashed Ice...where he is hoping to fulfill his goal and dream of becoming the World Champion one day.

He loves training, feeling the pain and the adrenaline rush, and winning... and, of course, he always sticks to the rules of fair play.

Robert also represents the best Ice Cross Club in Poland 'BLADE CLUB OPOLE'.

"See you on the ice rink... Polish Power!"
