Red Bull Crashed Ice will stage four races in the 2017/18 season, kicking off with a return to the capital of hockey - Saint Paul, Minnesota - for the seventh straight year. After the USA, the world's fastest sport on skates will move across the Atlantic to its European hotspots, where athletes will battle it out once again on the tough and testing natural ice track in Jyväskylä-Laajis, Finland before travelling south for the second season in a row to the Mediterranean setting in Marseille, France. The pulsating racing action will climax with a return to Edmonton after the Western Canadian city hosted the season finale in 2015.
Following a thrilling 2016/17 season, where more than 1,000 athletes from 22 countries and five continents took part, the sport is now more competitive than ever, cementing itself as one of the most exciting winter sports for spectators both onsite and on TV. As well as the men's and women's title battles going right to the wire, last season also saw plenty of fresh faces and drama in the new Juniors Championship, and another winter of gripping action is anticipated on all three fronts.
